Vijion Art Gallery – Discovery, Dialogue and Contemporary Art

Vijion Art Gallery sees itself as a place of discovery, dialogue and the promotion of contemporary art. Driven by curiosity, passion and a keen eye for exceptional artistic positions, Valentine and Egon Stuflesser seek out distinctive artistic voices characterised by originality, depth and innovation. Their work focuses on the long-term support of artists and the presentation of their work both in the gallery and at international art fairs.

For Discovery Art Fair Frankfurt 2026, Vijion Art Gallery presents four distinct artistic positions that explore materiality, form, space and perception in different ways. Despite their individual approaches, the artists share a commitment to developing distinctive forms of expression that open up new perspectives and invite viewers to engage with art in a more conscious and attentive way.

Andrea M. Varesco – Colour as Energy and Movement

Andrea M. Varesco’s paintings unfold with a powerful dynamism in which colour extends far beyond its purely painterly function, becoming a vehicle for energy and movement. Multilayered compositions develop into pulsating pictorial spaces characterised by fluid transitions, rich textures and rhythmic streams of colour.

The impasto application of paint lends the works a pronounced physical presence. A compelling interplay emerges between carefully constructed compositions and spontaneous gestures, allowing colour itself to become the defining means of expression.

Kristina Weiss – Organic Structures and Poetic Imagery

In Kristina Weiss’s work, delicate brushstrokes give rise to organic, almost archaic structures reminiscent of natural processes of growth. Her visual worlds move between visibility and concealment, density and dissolution.

Her paintings create a poetic space of resonance in which a multitude of associations can unfold without being confined to a single interpretation. The result is a series of quiet, multilayered visual worlds whose particular qualities reveal themselves through prolonged contemplation.

Mirijam Heiler – Reduction and the Power of Variation

Mirijam Heiler’s work is rooted in a consistently process-oriented approach. Variation, repetition and subtle shifts form the foundation of a precise formal language that combines constructive order with organic vitality.

For Heiler, reduction does not mean limitation, but rather a concentration on the essential. Through the interplay of structure and openness, she creates works of subtle intensity that slow down the viewer’s gaze and invite a heightened awareness of even the smallest changes.

Egon Digon – Geometry in Motion Ivan Baj - Voyages

Egon Digon transforms basic geometric forms through deliberate distortions, translating their apparent rigidity into a surprisingly organic visual language. His sculptures derive their distinctive dynamism from a focused exploration of line, edge, volume and proportion.

Combining exceptional craftsmanship with a refined sensitivity to material and surface, Digon creates sculptural works in which clarity and sensuality converge. Geometry remains the starting point for a process of formal exploration that gives rise to movement, vitality and a distinctive spatial presence.

Ivan Baj - Voyages

Inspired by his travels and encounters, Ivan Baj creates Voyages, collections of unique glass artworks. Each journey is an exploration of natural and cultural landscapes, from whose architecture, colours, scents and impressions Ivan draws the material and immaterial essence of his artistic practice.

Exotic fantasies, industrial nightmares, erotic dreams, ancient visions and intergalactic journeys: each experience is translated into glass, giving rise to a dialogue between technical experimentation and artisanal tradition. Each collection preserves the memory of encounters and impressions, brought to life by the skilled hands of Murano’s master glassmakers.
