The exploration of the infinite surface of colors, color matter and color differences in their various manifestations form the focus of Andrea M. Varescos painterly work.

Andrea M. Varesco aims at the perception of color and its intrinsic value, as well as its sensual and material presence. His formal language boils down to precise color compositions. His painting starts from the materiality of color without explicit reference to an extra picturesque context. The pictorial process itself becomes the object. The color, released from any representative function, is autonomous and condenses, releasing a radiant liveliness. Andrea M. Varesco's work is perceptible and tangible, and the concentrations of energies offer a sensual experience. Beyond perception, however, the images evoke viewpoints on contemporary issues within the contexts in which they are created. The artistic intention of Andrea M. Varesco is to allow the pictorial elements to enter dialogue with the space that surrounds them, in an emotional relationship.
