Flavio Senoner_The Puristic and Neutral

The seemingly simple, orderly and clear is what characterises the the work of the artist Flavio Senoner. Flavio Senoners‘ work operates in the space between geometric–abstract art and contemporary design. The limitation of means and radical reduction expressed through his work promote a concentration on the essence of things.

Flavio Senoner creates his works with natural materials such as wood and plaster. The interweaving and overlapping of horizontal and vertical wooden strips create visual images of strong, emotional perceptions. Flavio deals intensively with the line, which by repetition dissolves its consistency and highlights a completely new potential. The compositions are characterised by abstract grid structures and can serve as analytical or intuitive renderings of everyday experiences. With the simultaneous existence of the dissimilar, Senoners’ work achieves a poetry of reduction.
